The Stilwell PTO prides itself on the ways we give back to teachers and past students. Every year, we give out thousands of dollars to our teachers and staff to support innovative learning processes in the classroom. We also give two $500 scholarships to graduating seniors who attended Stilwell in Elementary School.
Teacher Grants
The Stilwell PTO encourages our school faculty to apply for educational grants to enhance the learning opportunities of Stilwell Students. Traditionally the grant process happens in the spring semester of each school year, but we will accept applications all year.
In the Spring of 2024, the PTO was proud to award over $16,000 toward the following grants for the 24-25 school year:
- Author visit & presentation
- New books for the library
- Student-centered classroom materials that encourage a love of reading
- Book-studies for student enrichment
- Weekly readers
- Mental health resources
- Educational conference for our school counselor
- Resources for improving & increasing expressive language skills
- New sound system for grade-level performances
- Spanish and Art curriculum resources
- All-school assemblies to encourage Mustang GRIT
- Woot-Woot Wagon supplies (surprise teacher/faculty gifts)
- Multiple online learning subscriptions, including Reading A-Z and IXL for ELA
Stilwell Faculty Grant Application
Senior Scholarships
We proudly offer two $500 scholarships to graduating seniors who attended Stilwell Elementary for at least 3 years and meet the following requirements:
- currently in good standing at their current school
- have a minimum GPA of 2.5
- enrolled in, or planning to enroll in, some form of post-high school education
- submit the application in its entirety with the required attachments
The scholarship application is available until midnight on March 31, 2025. The two winners will be notified by email on or before May 1, 2025.
